PROGRAMME DAY I • Arrival
at Kirkenes. Your guide will meet you at Kirkenes airport. • Information
and a look through the tour program. Departure by rented car to
Neiden. Check into Neiden Mountain Lodge. • Then we proceed
to Neiden River to see the fascinating käppälä
or cast-net fishing for salmon in Skoltefossen (in season). • Visit to St.
George’s Chapel. • Wood-fired
hot tub and sauna at Neiden Mountain Lodge. • Dinner with
specialities from Neiden.

Overnight stay.
DAY II • Breakfast
and information about the day’s programme. • Departure
for Bugøynes – "Destination King Crab". • Deep-sea fishing
on Varanger Fjord (weather permitting), transfer by car to the fjord.
• Lunch of king
crab. Hostess: Else Haldorsen. Our programme in Bugøynes
will take all day. Return to Neiden in the early evening. • Dinner made
from our own catch in Varanger Fjord . • Social evening.
Accommodation at the mountain lodge.
DAY III
• Breakfast before our
departure for Varangerbotn and Polmakmoen Inn. • Guided tour
of Varangerbotn. • We proceed
to Polmak, where we are met by our hostess, Ester Utsi. • Salmon fishing
in Tana River, or river boat trip with lunch basket and bonfire
along the riverbank (we provide mosquito repellent!) • Jacuzzi and
wood-fired hot tub. • Dinner in
the star-shaped gamme (Sami tepee). Storytelling and other
cultural activities.
Overnight stay at Polmakmoen.
DAY IV • Breakfast.
Pack and depart for Kirkenes. • Sightseeing
including Sør-Varanger Museum in Kirkenes. • Lunch at the
"Vin og Vilt" restaurant (not included in tour price).
Departure.
It is possible to extend this tour so as to include a visit to Russia.
There are a variety of daytrips and longer charter tours to various
locations in Russia in the vicinity of Kirkenes.
